The boys and I were in a parade with my friend Tiffany and the Lebanon Fire Department today. Jackson had such fun throwing candy to the little kids. It was a good day.
Tomorrow we will go to our town's parade, then a cookout with Nana and then to watch fireworks tomorrow night. I love that I have a holiday weekend off. It's unusual and I like it!
Please remember the reason we are celebrating is that we're American and we're darn proud of it! If you're going to have fireworks, be safe - I nearly lost a hand at age 7 when sparklers exploded. (Yep, totally my fault, but I was 7!) And, if you're going to drink, don't drive! I will come get you!
